Will my clothes come out creased?

Some will. Knitwear, fleece, puffer jackets, jeans and activewear come out well and settle back into shape within an hour or so. Silk, linen and cotton shirts crease more and are better packed flat. Rolling clothes before you seal the bag makes a noticeable difference, and a lot of people use the bags for the bulky half of a suitcase and pack the crisp items separately.
Do the bags stay compressed on a flight?

A correctly filled bag with the zip fully closed holds its compression for a normal trip. Air pressure drops as a plane climbs, which puts pressure on any seal, so it helps to fill only to the printed line and run the zip all the way along. The pump is cordless and packs with you, so if you do want to top a bag up at the other end it takes about ten seconds.
Can I use the bags without a pump?

Yes. The valve fits a standard household vacuum hose, and with a part-filled bag you can press or roll the air out by hand. The pump is included so that you don't have to rely on either.
Will my suitcase end up heavier?

The weight stays exactly the same, because compression removes air rather than anything solid. What changes is how much you can fit in, so it's worth weighing your case before you travel. Most airlines allow 7 kg for carry-on, and a full 26″ bag of knitwear comes in around 3 kg.
How long do they stay compressed?

For down jackets and duvets we'd suggest a few months at a time rather than a full year, since long spells under compression can affect loft.
